Most offices were abandoned. Who would risk getting to the office when the virus is threatening to spread even more? Guidelines directed people to stay home and modify their daily life according to this new situation. 

Of course, places like supermarkets never closed down, as that would bring chaos to the world. However, even in those places, rules became strict about social distancing and personal hygiene measures. 

How can anyone expect to perform well under such strict and discomforting conditions? There are many things that have never been discussed and now the time has come for them to be dealt with once and for all.

Digital nomads have been increasing in popularity over the past few years. More than that, flexible work has never been more appealing. Yet, remote work has not been the norm for the majority of businesses out there.     

Most employees have been instructed to work from home. This might sound idyllic. However, once you get past the first wave of enthusiasm, a lot of issues arise regarding connectivity and communication.

The first and most important thing to address is safety. Who can resume their previous lifestyle without feeling at least a little insecure? This is where analytics can step up and come to the rescue.

As a result, you know where to focus on in pursuit of relieving the employees from the burden they have been carrying.

As soon as people started returning to work, another problem came up having to do with safety precautions on behalf of employers. It is true that the staff can only perform well in a secure environment.

So, before heading back to the office, every business owner needs to make sure that the place is safe for all. Otherwise, workers would be entering a time bomb each time they got to the office.

Even though we all hope the pandemic does not affect us for long, it is realistic to expect more of these crises in the future. Now that we have experienced such a threat, what can we do to avoid the same shock?

Businesses should invest more in their digital transformation. They cannot work efficiently unless they have all the necessary tools and data to do so. There is no time to waste.

Society has been left at a loss, thinking of how to cope with these changes. On a brighter note, now we have a better idea of what to do.
